General Information on Social Services

The Municipal Social Services has as its purpose the resolution of the social needs and the improvement of the quality of life of citizens. Its decentralization in social services centers facilitate territorial rapprochement and immediate access by citizens to the package of benefits and services offered to the population of the entire municipality.

Objectives:

  • To improve the social welfare and the quality of life of residents of the municipality of Andratx
  • To provide information, guidance, counselling and management of the benefits of the public system
  • Respond to situations of risk. Provide protection, care and social advancement of all citizens
  • To provide social, psychological (younger than 3 to 14 years), educational and legal persons, families and groups in a difficult situation
  • Prevent risk situations and social isolation of the people and disadvantaged groups
  • Promote the social integration of all citizens in special situations
  • Prevent the consumption of toxic substances
  • Promote, coordinate and expand participation citizen and social cooperation of local authorities

PROFESSIONAL TEAM

The attention to the citizen and the development of the programs is carried out by an integrated team of different professionals:

  • Administrative Assistant
  • Educator Social

TIME IN THE CARE OF THE PUBLIC:

  • Administrative Services and prior appointment: Monday to Friday of 9:00 am to 12:15 pm
  • Interview with Social Worker (Essential prior appointment): Tuesday and Thursday of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
